big bear
monday: we found out lj’s car got towed so he had to go to the dmv and get his car back. but it turned out to be a good thing because alicia frantically packed that morning and ended up going on the snow trip with us. we got to the cabin in the afternoon and just chilled and cooked dinner. we had mashed potatoes, spaghetti and meatballs, corn, and vegetables.
tuesday: omelettes for breakfast and then snowboarding at bear mt. so sad i dont have pics from the mt; i didn’t want to carry my big camera. crystal learned how to snowboard, alicia and steven learned how to carve, i did some jumps. it was a very fun and successful day. we were all so sore. bear mt. has so many rails and jumps, but the snow is so hard! when we got back to the cabin, there was no hot water. we ate burgers and kbbq for dinner and talked and played games into the night and morning.
wednesday: pancakes for breakfast and then we played in the snow outside our cabin. since there wasn’t enough hot water for the hot tub, tran and steven spent all morning boiling hot water on the stove and pouring it in…it actually worked. then we just hung out and cleaned and headed home in the evening.
i’m so glad i went on this trip; i got to know people a lot better and it was so much fun going snowboarding with people other than family. can’t wait til next year.
